Friday Night Lights is a show set in Dillon ,Texas. It centers in on the Dillon Panther football team. The team is headed by Coach Eric Taylor. While it seems that Friday Night Lights is primarily football, football, football, it surprisingly is not. To many in Dillon, football is everything. To especially the football players, football is everything. It is their life. It is their pillar to which they lean on for their future. However, Friday Night Lights chronicles not only of the lives of the football players and coaches; it brings to a new light the impact of football on relationships, families, and lifestyles.

There's more to football...than just football.

While the eye candy is a plus, Friday Night Lights is a much better show that most would expect. The characters and conflict have a depth that is so rare in television shows nowadays. On the surface, Tim Riggins (as pictured above) is the town drunk and slacker. His reputation as badboy may have gotten him popular with the women of Dillon; in season three, he vies to be more. He is one that no one ever expected to go to college. He is one that no one ever expected to be monogamist. He defies it all season three; to prove to fellow Dillon Panthers and audiences at home that he is more than what he seems to be.
