so the day before winter break, i finished my first sketchbook. i had three sketchbooks - one lost at portfolio day, this one that i finished, and one that i barely even touched. i find it weird how some have reservations about what to put in it. i don't ; i pretty much treat it as if it were my journal - a conglomeration of my emotions, ideas, and observations. usually i draw in class, hence the bulkiness of the final product. i drew on loose leaf in class, since sketchbooks make it pretty obvious that you're not paying attention! so i stuck 'em all in there the next day and bada bing! it's almost twice the size it used to be. while i feel accomplished with my sketchbook, i also feel that my portfolio pieces are matching up. (because i haven't been working on them? haha) so i hope i catch up soon! ...a kickass portfolio will somewhat overshadow my lackluster academic GPA.......that's a whole other story i'll save for another day.
